The Grammar.

Heanor's new business and community hub

The Grammar

What is The Grammar?

The Grammar is a former school building, built in 1912 to support the continual evolution of the education system. Over the years, education moved to alternative sites and The Grammar fell into a state of disrepair.

Now it's back as a central asset in the middle of Heanor to serve as a business and community hub.

  • Community - Dedicated community spaces available to hire, including the historic Main Hall.
  • Events - the original hall, from the Edwardian era has been restored to create an amazing space suitable for a range of events and activities.
  • Business - The Grammar incorporates workspace that will bring employment to the town and provide services to the community.
  • The Business Hub - The standalone business hub (Baby Grammar) will be available for further entrepreneurial businesses and SMEs to use and operate from.

The Grammar has been restored to a high standard. It stood for 100 years before renovation, and is intended to stand for hundreds more.
